Located at 2476 San Diego Ave, San Diego, CA 92110, Whaley House Museum is a historic house built in 1857 in the Greek Revival style. It is one of the most haunted houses in the United States and is a California Historical Landmark. This historic house was built as a family home but has been cited as haunted. There have been numerous ghost sightings at the house and the house is rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of the Whaley family.

The Whaley family originally settled in San Diego during the California Gold Rush. Thomas Whaley came from a Scots-Irish family. Thomas and his wife Anna Amelia had four children. In 1855, Thomas Whaley purchased property in San Diego. Thomas Whaley built a two-story Greek Revival style brick house on the property. He had a general store on the property and later moved his family into the house.

Whaley House Museum is operated by the Save Our Heritage Organisation. They offer tours of the house and the surrounding grounds. The tours include a history of the Whaley family, as well as a tour of the historic house. In addition, guests are given access to the latest ghost hunting equipment. Tours of the house are also offered after dark.

The Whaley House is a popular tourist destination for those visiting San Diego. The house has been featured in a number of articles, books, and television shows. Visitors who visit the Whaley House Museum may also visit the Old Timey General Store and Courthouse. These exhibits will give visitors a great look into mid-late 1800s San Diego.
